Pippo wants to beat Baggio

Milan goal machine Pippo Inzaghi has set his next target after his 300th professional strike against Siena.

Inzaghi netted a brace in Milan's 5-1 demolition job against Siena and at the age of 35 he remains lethal in front of goal.

Now the Piacenza native has turned his attentions to another prestigious milestone.

“The first objective is to get into the Champions League,” Inzaghi told journalists.

“After that has been achieved, I am targeting Roberto Baggio's total of 318 goals - I just need 19 to beat him!

“I just have to keep grounded and calm and ensure that I keep doing my job correctly.

“Which was my best goal? I think the Champions League Final goal in Athens. The ball from Kaka was beautiful and my job wasn't very difficult but I managed an angled drive.

“I didn't sleep for 10 nights after that game - it was the most incredible of emotions.

“I love it when I hear that I am an example for kids growing up and I have heard that David Beckham compares me to Gary Lineker.

“I liked him a lot when I was a child and I wore his No 10 when I was growing up.”
